Metabolism by Piecemeal
Piecemeal's first full-length album! A blend of noisy, improvisational jazz and math rock shaped collaboratively by the players in the band cave at King Edward Court in Dunedin from 2022-2025, using a blend of improvised recordings and traditional writing.
'Twin Peaks' is a re-interpretation of the Twin Peaks Theme by Angelo Badalamenti. Epistrophy is a jazz standard composed by Thelonious Monk and Kenny Clarke in 1941. All other tracks are original compositions.
Recorded at the John McGlashan College Music Department in January 2025.
