"When pals get together with guitars, stuff happens—music happens! Mike and I share a musical past, going back decades. We did our first collaboration back in the early 2000s called "Two Of Us." Really a fun album. Here we have a continuation of more of the same. Some pieces carefully worked out and some pieces (the jams) just played with abandon. I'm happy to see Mike include the McCartney classic "I Will” on this project. I, along with Mike, hope you will enjoy this fun project—just a couple of old timers having fun."

"When I Lived in Nashville, our homes were eight houses apart. Phil and I hung out (and jammed) literally hundreds of times. Often for fun, or to work out arrangements to prepare for gigs. Sometimes we'd record. It's always a pleasure to play with Phil because we seem to be able to read each other's minds on guitar. Probably 'cause we've been friends for over fifty years. The spontaneity on this album demonstrates this quite well"
