Danger Field by The Phil Aiken Army
This is part of the Redeption Center 4 album set.
While I was still working on the Barricade album, my good friend and long time co-conspirator Chris Toppin and I discussed doing some cowriting, and I had long been campaigning to have her sing some lead in the Army, being the best singer in the band, and one of my favorite singers in the world. This album is a result of that. Drag You Down was mostly written by Chris, with a small contribution from me, and Coat of Arms & Whisper Your Way were brought to the table by me, and guided to completion along with Chris' help. Beyond that, the other songs were mostly written to be of a piece with those. Ed Valauskus ably co-produced and helped with the arrangements on this one, and the band is in particularly fine form. Real to You is an older song of mine, not written for myself to sing, and I am happy to be able to finally release it.
