Last night I had this dream
There were walls around me
Concrete and bare and cold like steel
I could not breathe
That’s when the walls started to cave in
And the room got smaller
I screamed loud but nothing came out
Because the room had filled with water
I woke up and I felt the same

We are the sons and daughters
Waiting for our chances on the open water
Ready to lose it

Last night when I fell asleep
I was on the top of a building
Fifty stories up, the sky looked bleak and menacing
That’s when the ground gave way
And I started falling through the floor
Like a bird that broke both wings

I woke up and I felt the same
