Micro Macro from Dead Pixel by Petter Vågan
Micro Macro is a hyper-descriptive play with perspectives. Inspired by Yuval Harari’s Sapiens and a fascination with the magic of language and its ability to alter the reality we live in. A powerful speech and a compelling story can ultimately allow human intersubjective realities to grow so strong that they threaten the planetary system. The text begins zoomed in on a press conference as a new intersubjective reality is created and eventually zooms out to a full cosmic perspective.

A nervous finger charge
At the heavy curtain
Making room for a sneak peek
Not nearly enough to satisfy the hunger

Followed by the thumbs up
Followed by a firm hand on his back
Pushing him out and letting go
Stepping out into the light
Thankful that his feet found
Solid ground. Caught off guard
By the chattering cameras
Exposing his awkward motion to celluloid

Antennas pointed at the sky
Distributing his lies to distant galaxies
