QUARANTAPE (Remastered) by P-Body

Struggling with worsening cabin fever brought upon by the consuming isolation of COVID-19 quarantine, you come to an ironic realization upon falling asleep one evening: the nature of your somnolent dream world seems more vivid and real than the absurd waking nightmare brought upon by this unprecedented pandemic. While lucid dreaming, you reconnect with a long lost lover, reliving old memories inside of this dream. Blissful reminiscence ensues, as the warm sensations that come with the golden days of blossoming, flourishing romance rush back to you. As with all beautiful occurrences in nature, however, there is an inevitable impermanence. Saccharine remembrance starts to spoil sour when you question the reliability of your subconscious mind as narrator, and the authenticity of your artificial paracosm built upon the blueprints of memory. The dream morphs into nightmare, and the relationship deteriorates, as it once did in reality. With the karmic opportunity to return to those ramshackle moments with fresher eyes, hindsight truly becomes 20/20. You finally reach the conclusion that you are only human, and the mistakes you make do not define you... you must rise from them to become a truer version of yourself. As you gain this wisdom, you lose your grasp of the dream, as it begins to wither away. You find yourself helplessly falling back to reality. Upon waking, the world remains in a state of disorder and confusion. You, however, have changed. You decide what happens next. You decide that life too, could be dream.
