Voice Coil by Carrier Band

Track 1 recorded in the fall of 2003 at Deep Listening Space in Kingston, New York. In 2007 Andrew Deutsch added about 35 minutes of short overdubs to these recordings. These overdubs were added to correct technical problems in the live recording and to bring the recordings closer to what the audience actually heard at Deep Listening Space.

PAULINE OLIVEROS was a senior figure in contemporary American music. Her career spans fifty years of boundary dissolving music making. Since the 1960's she influenced American music profoundly through her work with improvisation, meditation, electronic music, myth and ritual. She was the founder of "Deep Listening." She dies in 2016.
