This is my debut album, which is probably the coolest thing I have ever typed. It's is a mix of ambient music, lofi kind of, electronica, and a whole lot of natural field recordings, because nature is beautiful and I love nature. This album has been my main drive since early this year, and from before October last year, I had never really picked up an instrument, but now I am a drummer in multiple bands and I'm picking up guitar along the way too, but this album has been my side project beside my countless hours of practice, and I think it's turned out nicely.
I think this album exists for alot of reasons, but beside alot of lost sleep, there are a few, and I think one of them is an old friend of mine, milo, who after only meeting once immediately became one of my favourite people ever, and after that first meeting we met very frequently, and we would sit underneath this giant tree and just do nothing but hang out for hours, rain or shine. The reason why the album cover is what it is, is because that tree reminded my of the tree me and milo would sit under, and after taking the photo I knew it was the picture for the album. Another thing was an album by Dr. Masher, an ambient artist who was probably my introduction to the world of ambient music, and I had the album "clearspace" on cassette tape, and me and milo would sit there and listen to it, i think that might have been the reason why I tried making my own style of ambient music, and it just kind of happened naturally.
Most of this album was made on my phone whilst bored in class at school, and so I have to thank my enterprise and marketing teacher for not caring that I did no class work for several months (I had already finished all the course work but we were supposed to revise, don't worry). Or atleast when I say "most", I mean the main components of each track.
I really hope that anyone who stumbles upon this album can enjoy it, despite it being relatively short, and I hope that in a few years when I've worked on alot more music with alot more projects or bands, I can look back here, to nature, and see my roots, and say "look how far I've come"
