Nature is amazing
but it’s no match for you and me
We try
We tweak but
What if it’s already too late?

With scissors and cardboard and glue
We will plant the seeds
Of change
In you but
Then we still jump on an aeroplane

When we grow up we’ll live
In a bug hotel
It’s a nice idea
Save up karma in case
It all gets much worse
We can disappear

Let’s pull up our roots
And opt out in the country
We’ll watch
It burn but
At least we can all say I told you so

Or with heads in the sand
We’ll put faith in technology
Our fin
gers crossed
That one day we’ll still get to boldly go

Friendly robots will give
Us a helping hand
It’s a nice idea
Send off ark ships to space
If we mess up earth
We can disappear
