Orange Peel from 4-Track by Pachycephalosaurus

I really like this song. I wrote it after I saw a lady on the bus, obviously not quite all there, who had a nervous breakdown after she dropped the orange she had been peeling (dropping bits of peel all over the floor). The half-peeled orange rolled around the floor of the bus until we finally stopped in Monterey, and I pulled it from under a seat and gave it back to her---she was ecstatic, and washed it off in a drinking fountain outside.

Cleaning up the bits of peel from the ground, I flashed back to memories of potpourri in my grandmother's house (?), which often included shavings of orange peel.
