Staticburn Session by Owl's Head Mountain

I recorded this some time in April in Starkville, Mississippi. A friend was stuck in New York due to Covid lockdown, so he let me hang out in his quiet, empty apartment and use his Tascam 424 MK III and fancy bi-directional ribbon mic to make some warm scratchy tape recordings. I have named this piece Staticburn Session in honor of his analogue recording equipment.

This is a single take recording of improvised stuff, which I have retrospectively divided into tracks. But I recorded it as just one big long thing. It is a nice artifact of a bad time.

There are some mistakes, but that's only because I made some mistakes.
