Loon Calls by Owl's Head Mountain
This album was mostly written in New Hampshire, and it's mostly about places in New Hampshire to the extent that its about anything at all. One of the songs is named after a Famous Rock who lives there.
It's basically composed out of themes built off of a Dm7 arpeggio. I felt through that basic foundation until I had exhausted some combination of myself and the musical possibilities therein. So there is a degree of thematic unity in here prior to whatever I thought it was 'about'. But these sonic fields seem to bear the traces of the places where they were created, as well as the mood and conditions that produced them. Or something.
