Young Man
When I was a young man
Well, I thought I knew it all
I was afraid of nothing
There was no mountain too tall
I wasn’t afraid to fall

Then I became an older man
Questioning, everything I thought I knew
Still pretty fearless after all
Still enjoying the mountains view
But now I realize I can fall too

Now I am a much older man
Learned a lot over the years
Found fear on those mountains walls
Stumbling around blind in mountain squalls
Lord, taken so many falls

Not sure how long I’ll be around now
But here’s one thing I do Know
If you spend all your time on the mountain
The seeds of true love you can’t sew
The mountain is your love and your home
Now your fate is sealed you’ll take that last fall all alone
