Inspirational Rain We all need it
1st verse
You know sometimes when it’s hot and dry
No wind no sound, not a cloud in the sky
Bones in the desert, only stumbled on
Look’en up, look’en down, bones all around

No refuge to be found, not a living soul around
Except me and I am going down

The bones and my mouth are dry
Bones and me laying on the ground look’en up to the sky

I hate to be one to complain
but it’s seizing up my brain, I got ‘a recover

Chorus
I’m not a pray’en man, but now I’ m pray’en for some inspirational
Rain ………………… rain, rain, rain
Inspirational rain ……. Rain, rain, rain
People running from
War, poverty… Climate change
High, time for global inspirational rain
Too often the rule has always been stolen psychotic and deranged
High time to open our minds to inspirational change

2nd verse
Sometimes words, they roll out on the page
Jot ‘em down, mess around finished in a couple of days
Other times inspiration is harder to find,
Words that define ideas to open minds

There are two kinds of drought, I want to sing about
One is opening your head to what your heart says

When you can’t hear how to say
Things screaming in your head, need to be said today

Second one is a drought of compassion
Same old over reaction, fear of the other

Chorus
Well, I’m not a pray’en man, but now I’ m pray’en for some inspirational
Rain ………………… rain, rain, rain
Inspirational rain ……. Rain, rain, rain
People running from war now
Poverty, climate change
High, time for now global inspirational rain
Feed the land and our brains
Open our hearts to inspirational change

3rd verse
People Just trying to survive
So desperate they will risk their whole family’s lives
So many forever lost, with their story. Just looking for a
job, high ground. Safe place to be & raise their families

Like our families before, running away from
Religious or ethnic persecution, hunger, drought or war

You say what a shame, home is where they should remain
Bones in the desert bodies in the waves, camps of refugee’s overflowing

Guess compassion’s not your strength, guess
Deaths not staring you or yours in the face

Chorus
Not a pray’en man, but now I’ m pray’en for some inspirational
Rain ……. rain, rain, rain
Inspirational Rain
People running from warn -no more - poverty or Climate change
High, time for global inspirational rain!
Put benevolent in charge, in charge of the game
Open our minds to inspirational change

4th verse
Inspiration to stop repeating the same old refrain
Old solutions failed, backfired and derailed.
Fences, guns and bigotry are the wrong reaction
Global community in need of consciousness expansion

You know mental illness is what causes greed &war
That’s what they are really running from that’s for sure

Climate change, the very same people, they deny.
Soon more millions more will be fleeing the Ocean’s rise

Either across the desert or sea
Running towards you and me, we’re in this together

Closing chorus and refrain
Well I’m not a pray’en man, but now I’ m pray’en for some inspirational
Pray’en for some inspirational rain
Inspirational rain……. Come on rain
Inspirational rain
Has the wind begin to change
Clouds building in the sky
Come on, come on rain
Wind begin to change
Clouds building in the sky
Come on, come on rain
Inspirational rain
Inspirational rain
Is that a drop of rain I feel in my eye
Or just another tear that I cry
Come on rain, rain, rain, rain, rain

RAIN

Because the dooms day clock, the clock is tick’en
Inspirational rain
