‘In The Realm Of’ is a heartfelt reappraisal of the cult 1989 hit by Israel’s pioneering dark wave Siam. Featuring the band founder and singer Jef Shapiro, it maintains the surging melancholy of the original while bringing it bang up to date dynamically. It’s backed by another homage as Omri extracts the Balearic bliss of Itzhak Klepter’s 1983 rock song on ‘Fragile’. Steel string solitude courtesy of acclaimed guitarist Nir Shlomo, all wrapped up in star-gazing faithful funk.

Finally ‘Kivun’ closes the show on a slinky reflective space disco note. Something to completely lose yourself to, it’s not a coincidence Kivun means direction in Hebrew. Which way are you heading?
