Wonderful World by SUGAR'N'STRINGS

Between jazz, South America and perfumes of Paris... Olivier Soubeyran (bass and cello) and Yann Viet (guitars) offer a warm, woody and colorful album, prefaced by Jean-Marie Ecay, Raphaël Perraud and Valérie Cadignan.

Some tracks were recorded just as a duo, others with the complicity of prestigious guests such as pianist William Lecomte, Marc Eliard on accordion, Jaco Largent, Thierry Fanfant, Jean- Yves Roucan or Jean-Bernard Mondoloni on various percussions.

The repertoire is divided between French songs, standards from the two Americas and original compositions, and the quality of the arrangements, the very acoustic approach and the presence of Olivier Soubeyran's cello create an absolutely unique atmosphere.

For the record, Olivier Soubeyran has already published "Mangocello" (2012) and "Maze" (2016), Yann Viet "La Javanaise" (2010) and "Life on Mars?

Entre jazz, Amérique du sud et parfums de Paris… Olivier Soubeyran (basses et violoncelle) et Yann Viet (guitares) proposent un album chaleureux, boisé et plein de couleurs, préfacé par Jean-Marie Ecay, Raphaël Perraud et Valérie Cadignan.

Certaines plages ont été enregistrées juste en duo, d'autres avec la complicité de prestigieux invités tels que le pianiste William Lecomte, Marc Eliard à l'accordéon, Jaco Largent, Thierry Fanfant, Jean-Yves Roucan ou encore Jean-Bernard Mondoloni aux diverses percussions.

Le répertoire se partage entre chansons françaises, standards des deux Amériques ou encore compositions originales, et la qualité des arrangements, le parti pris très acoustique ainsi que la présence du violoncelle d'Olivier Soubeyran génèrent un climat absolument unique.
