Cynthia from Ride Home by The Old Beef Stringband
This tune was written on the advent of the death of a family friend, Cynthia. Her death marked the gate by which Amy's parents' generation is beginning to pass through. This cheerful tune celebrates the meeting with St Peter at the Pearly Gates.

The Old Beef String Band is an old time song and tune band based in Halifax/Mi’kma ‘ki, Nova Scotia. Their style is rooted in the Appalachian “mountain” music of the American south, with its elements of folk, African American country blues, European fiddle, and British Isles-influenced traditional ballads and songs. Included in their repertoire are recently added original pieces.
