Blue EP by Ohio and West

This is a synthy, sad album because I was feeling blue. I woke up at 1AM most days last week. There was a quietness about the early morning that was uneasy. I got to hear the gears grind in to motion, the cars on the highway started around 4AM -- when it was still cold and dark. I was never very far behind them.

Disclaimer: This is melodramatic. I'm fairly content and have a good life. I just like to complain and I wanted to make a bummer EP.

Lonely is about how the daily grind makes you a stranger to yourself.

Connections is about losing touch with interests.

Turn in to Memories is about how I can't remember anything. I'm pretty sure I stole some lyrics and melody from a They Might Be Giants song, so this is a homage.

I Am is about professionalism and this unending positivity that you have to put off. It gets tiring and almost dehumanizing, maybe? Sometimes it snaps and there is a fun bitch-fest and you realize people are cool.

Static is about searching for a purpose or yourself or something.
