Chasing Shadows by ERIKA

The Kitsune Collection is inspired by ERIKA's heritage and is based on Japanese folklore the Kitsune spirits. Each song will be connected with the characteristics of the “kitsune spirits” which is also tied into the human experience.

Chasing Shadows, the first single is based on Kukan 区間 the dark spirit. A song about the darkness within you and knowing you can walk alongside it by getting to know it rather than fearing it.

It amplifies ERIKA’s ability to create an emotive journey for the listener through the use of her vocals and arrangement skills as she says, “I want the listener to be propelled like an arrow into the first chorus and then to create momentum with a feeling of running into discomfort”.
