Drummer MASSIMO MANZI, after whom the TRIO performing on the album is named, is releasing his third album under his own name, Excursion, recorded for Notami Jazz, in collaboration with Domingo Muzietti (guitar) and Massimo Giovannini (bass). Special Guest Echae Kang (violin and vocals). Ten years after his last album and after countless recording experiences as a sideman and co-leader, MASSIMO MANZI now releases his new CD: EXCURSION. He is accompanied by Domingo Muzietti on guitar and Massimo Giovannini on bass, who also wrote the original songs on the album. The journey through standards and original music is enriched by the presence of a special guest, Echae Kang, who with her voice and violin creates an atmosphere of rare intensity and originality.
