Netherworld by North Of Venus
Upon near-death experience, we are transported to a realm consisting of unliving beings dwelling in an unholy civilization. Some may call this purgatory, others may consider this to be the entrance to hell itself. A view of what will become of the souls who lost their way in life following their departure from the land of the living. This is a depiction of the "Netherworld".
In a nutshell, this album will appeal to those who enjoy the downtuned guitar drones of bands like Earth, Sunn O))), Boris and Burning Witch - as well as those who enjoy unsettling dark ambience and haunting ethereal soundscapes. Just as with all project releases, no synthesizers were used in the creation of this album: only guitars, vocals, acoustic percussion and field recordings - with a heavy use of effects and loops.
