Eibban/Angadrisma by Nocturnal Emissions

Since 2020, Nocturnal Emissions' Nigel Ayers has released eight albums in the "Minimal Works" series. These tracks range widely in feeling and scope; some bright, some somber, others ethereal and others disquieting. They are representative of Ayers' singular vision, a testament to what makes Nocturnal Emissions as vital a project today as it was in 1980.

Here we present two selections from the first two "Minimal Works". "Angadrisma" features breathy sweeps atop methodical percussion, with as much airiness as there is danger. "Eibban" goes in an even more foreboding direction, with celestial synths and reverberant bells atop pulses of deep low-end.
