I am trapped in a body,
stuck in its vulgarity,
drowning - in my lungs there’s a sea
of disgust, and I’ve had enough,
so let’s end this story
before I am destroyed by this dysphoria,
dysphoria.
Try to keep my skeleton in,
but it’s crawling out of my skin.
Smothering in this flesh vessel,
and I’m saying I’m sorry,
even as I am destroyed by this dysphoria,
dysphoria.
I am a storm you mistake for a girl,
I am a raging tornado whirlwind
and I refuse to be contained
by the ideas of gender you maintain,
I won’t give you that glory.
I will not be destroyed by this dysphoria,
dysphoria.
