Left the barn at 3:30, A.M
Driving down a winding road
The sun, staying put underfoot
The moon, as bright as the glow in the dark t-shirt
Nearing a high coast,
Something out the corner of my eye stared at me, guile, unconscious
I rammed my car in the side of the road
Pulled my ragged jagged key out of the ignition
And grabbed my camera
Almost slipping out of my semipetrified hands
Gliding down the smoke clouds of my cigarette
I caught the slippery fish just an inch or two away from my leather padded reclined seat.
The right one.
Shutting the door, I stared at my light
Giving me ghosts of its past
In my eye
Floating, over the fence
I walked towards it
That floating mass
The corner of my eye, still stared down
I picked up my legs over the off-white picket
Carrying my camera to the right side of my abdomen
In an almost golden way
My feet sank with every step
Seeping into mother earths wet, wet wonders beneath
A lea of wheat, tomatoes, and pomegranate
Going over and up the hill
The soil of someones farm!
