The Promise by Neil Kopicki
The Promise is my new cinematic concept album based on the story of a couple who make a dangerous trek into the heart of a national park, in the depths of a cold and harsh winter. After slipping on ice and falling into a giant chasm, the husband must make the ultimate sacrifice by letting go in order to save his wife so she can escape and live on.
The Promise is an epic mix of orchestral/cinematic music with electronic elements. The music is big, dramatic, melodic and emotional, with reoccurring themes and soundscapes that will put you right in the center of this cold and ominous journey. A unique, and innovating take on modern cinematic music that pushes the boundary on telling stories without the need for an accompanying film or lyrics.
