Both of us were once in toxic relationships, where we were emotionally and physically abused and controlled. Both our ex partners made us feel like it was our fault, we deserved it, and we were a monster when we lost our tempers in our fight to gain our independence. This is one of the reasons we became best friends, as we both relate to this horrible experience. So this song is a message to anyone out there in the same situation that needs to break free, and take control of their life and be happy.
