We are immensely excited to welcome NCRTYP back to Dustopian Frequencies with POWER - an album of haunted beats that channel the ghosts of post punk past.

NCRTYP’s sound is something very special indeed. A melting pot of sounds and emotions that despite being forged in deeply personal memories and images of times and places, still speaks to a universal language. His sound world is heavily inspired by post punk but has one foot firmly in the world of electronic music with intricately programmed drums and rumbling bass - echoes from his days as a jungle producer.

On POWER his passion for post punk is communicated in spades. But in his own unique way. The treatments on the guitars, keys and voices he employs to create this atmosphere are so ethereal they feel almost ghostly. Like that feeling you have been somewhere before despite knowing you havn’t. But this isn’t cut and dry hauntology either, nor is it trying to sound like it is from that era. It is a feeling of experiencing something from the past that feels totally new to you at the time you hear. And this is the feeling NCRTYP has translated into his music. POWER is an extremely special album that is evocative, exciting and utterly compelling.
