Mineral veins of counterpoint course through the hull of this track—perhaps our most vulnerable offering yet. When Commander Darje first assembled the round structure, we were scattered across three different subsea sectors, recording each vocal part in isolation. The round wasn't just a musical choice—it was the only way we could compose while separated, each section rising and falling like tides passing between us.

The lattice metaphor emerged from watching actual mineral formations grow across our vessel windows during a month-long hide in the Cobalt Depths. "Tessellate the shelter, signal pours in slow" describes both our musical process and our literal survival strategy—finding patterns in chaos, building connections despite distance.

String sections interlock like fingers reaching across darkness, while the brass elements sound almost tentative at first—a musical reflection of the cautious rebuilding of trust. Listen for the moment when all vocal parts finally align at "We are the lattice—stressed but aligned." Many crew members couldn't make it through that take without their voices cracking; you can hear the raw emotion breaking through the composed structure.
