Inspired by a photograph of a handsome couple dancing in a ballroom in the 1940s. They were looking straight into the camera. They might be long dead, but they were just as alive as I will ever be. Everybody thinks their era is the ultimate era. It's not.

Neither. Its both simultaneously. The lyrics walk the dark side of Sunny Psychedelia Street and know that all is not well with the world. Burning effigies and suicidal Ice Road Truckers all feature.
