Rough EP by Nathan Erskine Smith

Projections and Pathways is a project of creating live, spontaneous compositions using solo bass clarinet and a looping pedal. The music is meant to be honest and engaging and it is presented here exactly as it is presented live – with no editing. I explore many textures that my instrument can make and draw upon a variety of musical traditions, including blues and jazz, to make something that is sometimes sweet, sometimes intense, and sometimes rough around the edges. I hope you enjoy.
