DB LOOPER by Nate Kiz

You've heard the story of DB Cooper? He hijacked an airplane in 1971, stole $200,000, parachuted out of the plane never to be seen again. The man is a legend.

Well, this is the story of DB LOOPER.. Instead of stealing money, he stole 2 TB of Drum Broker samples, (hence the DB..Drum Broker) so strap into your airplane seats and enjoy the story as we hear from news anchors, radio station hosts, witness reports and random fans of DB himself shouting "DB LOOPER" from all over the world.. Oh yeah, this is a beat tape so... there's also a ton of beats.

Now let me break the fourth wall for a minute.
I've always wanted to do an instrumental project that was outside of my rules and parameters that I have somewhat set for myself as a producer. A project where I didn't overthink the beats. Maybe I loop up a few samples instead of my normal sample samurai chop suey. A project that I didn't overthink. A project with no rules, just kind of having fun.. Honestly, I had too much fun with this one. I figured if I was going to do this, I didn't want the beats to be too repetitive so I kept them short and added a bunch a little Fx and what not.. chopped up some of them samples and then I thought hey why not spice it up a little bit and add some skits.. (not sure who does that on an instrumental album but hey, why not?) Since I'm trying something new for myself, why not go all out and really just do something different.

Shout out to "The Drum Broker", DB raided the website of amazing samples (wasn't me, it was DB LOOPER I swear) and put this project together exclusively with Drum Broker samples. I only added in bass and a couple of my own personal sounds on top of the Drum Broker samples on only like 4 tracks, but all melodic and drum elements come straight from The Drum Broker.
