Static EP by Natalie Capes
About 2 years ago, this album wasn't an album. It was simply a pile of songs I'd written in my spare time that I didn't think would amount to anything. Last year, I turned 5 of those songs into a school project in which where I learned how to go into a studio and truly produce music.
July 27, 2018: Static EP is complete.
A lot of people heard the first three singles and congratulated me, but the overwhelming impression was that this was simply a hobby, nothing more. While that may have been true two years ago, this project has turned out to be my passion. I love creating music, and I don't ever want to stop. Static is my test of the water, and I fully intend to dive in.
I'm excited and terrified all at once. This project is my heart and soul and I never thought it would get here. But here is just the beginning, the starting line, for hopefully a long, incredible journey. So if you're reading this, thank you so much for making this kid's dream a reality.

Natalie is a songwriter from NC. She has enjoyed playing and writing music since childhood, and strives to turn that passion into a living. Her first EP, Static, began as a school assignment in 2016 and ended up becoming a full project in 2018. She takes inspiration from her Folk and Americana roots while also emulating the style of modern indie artists such as Cavetown, Jack Stauber, and others.
