The second EP by City Water offers a dark and lush palette of aural velvet that draws influence from sources as diverse as Angelo Badalamenti, Scott Walker, Clint Mansell and Berlin-era David Bowie. Featuring a haunting saxophone and funereal double bass, the EP "2" expands on City Water's burgeoning trademark moments of weightless cinematic builds and minimal lyricism, and introduces a subtle dose of dark, tenebrous jazz.
