The intention of the release was for it to demonstrate the diversity of sound that the flute itself can deliver. The two improvisations are therefore single take, live recordings simply comprising of flute, voice, and delay. EchLua was recorded as a culmination of 30 days of improvisation.
Naomi Perera's music is characterised by risk and improvisatory flair. She pushes the boundaries of the flute through unexpected sounds, drama and instinct to create an infectious sonic world carefully straddling the line between accessible and avante-garde.
