BIOSPHERES REIMAGINED is a sonic offering born from a decade of NAOBA ’s field recordings inside some of the planet’s most fragile ecosystems — now reawakened through the vision of extraordinary artists across the world. Each remixer becomes a voice in a wider conversation with Earth: whale-spirits rising through Wild Anima, the grounded resilience echoed by Wahinya, soul-depth carried by Freya Algiz, NINTÜ’s dawn erupting into light, Driem’s water prayers, Derrok’s fiery elevation, Alunawachuma’s mountain-chant ascent, and Steffen Ki’s 13-minute medicine journey through the forest mist.
Collectively, we chose to let this album give back to the very biospheres that birthed its sounds. For her reimagining of OCEAN, Wild Anima leaned into a lifelong connection with whales, a presence she has carried since childhood. Stepping into their spirit, she allowed her voice and instruments to merge with their language, weaving NAOBA’s original synth drones with water-like percussion, floating guitar, shruti box, ocean waves, and recordings of multiple whale species. The process revealed how naturally her sonic palette echoes the sea — a discovery that shaped the track into an intimate, immersive journey that feels both ancient and deeply alive.
For his reimagining of SELVA, Kenyan producer and studio steward Wahinya leaned into the track’s meditative core — a steady breath in a turbulent world. NAOBA’s original textures opened a space for him to reflect on resilience, the quiet strength that rises in both human beings and in nature itself. His remix carries that spirit: grounded, spacious, and shaped by an inner steadiness that feels elemental.
For her reimagining of DESIERTO, Freya Algiz crafted a piece that invites the listener into the deep interior of their own being. Her intention was to guide a descent into the soul — a journey of surrender, where the layers that no longer serve can fall away. The remix moves like an inner wind across the desert: spacious, honest, and devoted to the return to one’s authentic self.
For his reimagining of MORNING FOG, Chilean producer NINTÜ — known for his atmospheric depth, organic textures, and cinematic electronic sound — transforms the track into an epic journey. The remix opens with a mist-like ambient introduction before erupting into a powerful dance piece, driven by soaring synths and arpeggios sculpted from NAOBA’s original piano. The piece also features the voice of Ness, poetess and long-time collaborator of NAOBA, whose vocal channeling carries the presence of Earth/Gaia through the music. The result is a track that feels expansive, alive, and luminous — like dawn turning into full daylight.
For his reimagining of RIO SAGRADO, Driem channels a primordial, tribal force — a pulse that feels as old as the rivers themselves. His remix rises on echoing, ceremonial vocals that move like a prayer offered to running waters and to the great water cycle of the Earth. Built around deep rhythms and ancestral textures, the track becomes a living invocation: a reminder of the sacred flow that nourishes all life.
For LAGUNA, Derrok — label boss of Quinto Fuego — steps in with a powerful organic techno reimagining that truly le prende fuego. Sitting at 120 BPM, his remix lifts the track into a soaring, high-vibration space, driven by live guitar riffs that cut through the rhythm like beams of light. Derrok transforms LAGUNA into a sky-reaching dance offering, full of pulse, movement, and fiery uplift.
Alunawachuma — Agami Records label boss and a kindred spirit in using music as a force for healing and reconnection — offers an ambient ascent with TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN. His remix carries us to high altitudes where Mongolian chants echo through the peaks, awakening the deeper layers of our Being and our bond with Earth.
Steffen Ki, audio mage and longtime pillar of NUMA’s medicine music world, delivers a 13-minute reimagining of BOSQUE NUBLADO that feels like entering a living prayer. His revision moves through the mist of high-altitude forests, opening a passage toward the Divine within our own essence and deepest nature. This remix is especially meaningful — a continuation of the musical dialogue between Steffen and me, NAOBA, after my earlier release on NUMA. What he created here is more than a track; it’s a therapeutic journey, an entrancing offering of sonic medicine.
