11 Days by Na'ir Al Saif

The story of a man who drifts through space for eleven days and is humbled by the enormity of the cosmos; whose sanity is strained to its utter core and finally snapped like tinder upon the discovery of another astronaut corpse inexplicably drifting along his side until, unable to distinguish transient consciousness from uncomfortable sleep, he is flung into a wormhole, rubbing his senses against the grain of the Universe. This cathartic voyage allows his broken mind to dispel the confusion of his fate by recovering the memory of slaughtering the crew on his station and escaping out the airlock. And as the truth penetrates his gibbering thoughts so does his last breath waft from his tired lungs.


11 days was conceived, written, and recorded in the final eleven days at the O-House in the spring of 2013.
