i fell asleep, and in my semi-lucid dream
i thought of nothing else but work
why is it now, that my dreams come true somehow
and when i wish for something good it gets thrown out

my brain never gets quite what it needs
and during the day i just fall asleep
im never as awake as when im in a dream
maybe i need a breathing machine
my lungs gas up and burst at the seams

i doze off when its most inconvenient, when i need myself the most
when i pull myself up, i always run out of rope
im incapacitated and im all out of caffeine
i guess this is the end for me
