Unglowing by myr'lia

Back in 2018, I discovered an old, crimson gate in my hometown, spraypainted with the words "Amor Y Rabia". For four and a half years, I visited the gate once every month; it had become a way to ground myself, an inner ritual, a protective spell to trace the words in my mind. Upon returning in december, the words were gone, the spell rendered hollow. By then, the winter hexagon had entered the night sky, twin meteorites etched. It was during those months that I first started conversing with Aya, then Ezra, and eventually Ulti, braiding them into a uniform self. Even now, we still fit between thumb and index, tidal-locked yet never any closer; everything is everything.

Envisioning this album was never something I could do; the music reified itself in a way that I could not have determined beforehand. Similarly, I think an individual's multiplicit identity is not fit for determinacy; rather, it suffices to play our everyday instruments with care, with ardor. To venture out, to explore boundaries, to scrape your knee, to be mild about it, always. Soon, I will face the crimson gate once more. With mildness, with āṇavā. With movement; oscillating, still.

Myr'lia (they/them) is an explorer of boundaries, prone to afterwardness and inspiration in the wake of self-depreciation, an INFJ, a conciliator against their will, trained as a violinist and slowly becoming a self-taught experimenter, a descendant of the Minamoto clan and born from a binary star system, now a musicmaker at heart.
