Flyin' High by Aywee

Charonne street, Paris, France 1992, the young Alheri in his 13th is chillin' in the street after school. Walking near by the kiosk of the public garden, the place where the best city's breakdancers are practicing in the neighboorhood, he finds a blue sport jacket left on a wood bench...
Back at home with this nice b-boy outifit, he looks himself in the mirror when trying different postures, he put his hands in the pockets and fall on a strange blue tape on which "Flyin' High' is written in stylish curves.
Directly loaded in the house's double deck of the living room, as soon as he pushed play, a deep underground beat was hitting his mind and took possesion of his body.
He started moving, jumping and bouncing in the air totally controled by the music, making moves he was impossible for him to imagine, an instant ago.
After 40 minutes of almost levitating, he fell onto the ground as the tape ended.
His popeyed dog for only witness, Alheri decided to registered for the hip hop dance competition of the city, at the end of the year.
Of course he wins it and 25 years later, Alheri brought us this tape and its story to release it.

Rue de Charonne, Paris, France 1992, le jeune Alheri dans sa treizième année se promène dans la rue à l sortie du collège. En marchant près du kiosque dans le parc, l'endroit où les meilleurs breakdancers de la capitale s'entrainent dans le quartier, il trouve une veste de jogging bleue laissée sur un banc en bois...
De retour à la maison avec son veston clinquant de b-boy, il se regarde dans le miroir en essayant différentes poses, il met les mains dans ses poches et tombe sur une étrange cassette bleue sur laquelle est écrit en calligraphie "Flyin' High".
Directement chargé dans la platine double du salon, à peine a t il appuyé sur play, qu'un profond beat underground frappe son esprit et prend possession de son corps.4
Il commence à bouger, sauter and rebondir dans les airs, contrôlé totalement par la musique, effectuant des mouvements qu'il lui était impossible d'imaginer il y a un instant.
Après quarante minutes de presque lévitation, il retombe sur le sol, au moment où la bande s'arrête.
Son chien abasourdit pour seul témoin, Alheri décide de s'inscrire pour la compétition de danse hip hop de la ville, qui a lieu à la fin de l'année.
Bien sur il la remporte et, 25 ans plus tard, Alheri nous apporte cette cassette et son histoire pour que nous les publions.
