sole to the restless mind.
We’d come across
some very unknown
unnamed torments
our fatal beauty mortifies
then defies.

We’re just a click of joy
and a flash of sadness
afar to the other side

under those skins
of flesh and bones
hot blooded spirits
mortal
selfish and unkind.
