Saltation by Möbius
Saltation is the debut album from Haida Gwaii-based alternative rock trio Möbius. Touching on sounds from grunge, prog, and classic rock, the album explores both the beauty and darkness of modern human growth. It examines how we evolve, and how increasingly complex systems hinder our ability to control our own trajectory. Through a combination of expansive soundscapes, punchy rhythms, and driving jams, songs touch on themes of environmentalism, industrialization, and existentialism. Saltation opens and closes with a motif, interpreted in different ways; we can be one of the many particles carried as the surface beneath us changes shape, or we can leverage this chaos, finding novel avenues to adapt and find balance.

Möbius is an alternative rock group based out of Haida Gwaii, BC, with a sound that speaks of vivid space voyages and post-apocalyptic city-scapes. Fluid and phosphorescent Guitar riffs are punctuated by invigorating drum beats, providing a cinematic backdrop for their politically charged lyrics.
