Murnie is a Glasgow/Lanarkshire-based power trio with a love of strong melodies with idiosyncratic lyrics played loud, and with influences as varied as seventies singer-songwriters and classic metal this is hardy surprising. Their unusual piano/drums/guitar-or-bass line-up might appear lacking, but thoughtful arrangements, harmony vocals and sheer enthusiasm result in a big sound from a wee band.
