MULE’s original soundtrack for the audio drama 'EYRER'.

This project was originally conceived as a concept album. The idea grew into a fully realised audio series. The soundtrack inspired the writing. It is a kaleidoscope of 80’s synths, colliery brass bands and traditional folk instrumentation.

Set in a future England. At the tip of an ecological collapse, the Kingdom has been divided by war, sickness and environmental catastrophe. The story takes place in a small hamlet situated in the valley of Eyrer. The populace work to maintain a 21st century life support for this land - providing food and energy to those above their station.

When a mysterious sickness is introduced to the valley the people must act fast to limit the spread. The cost is high and throws into question the very fabric of their lives.
