Johnny Appleseed, a figure in American folklore, is credited with planting apple seeds everywhere he went, resulting in the apple's entry into the zeitgeist. Jimmy “Muffin” Yessian is certainly his musical analog, planting musical seeds everywhere. He has touched the lives of countless fledgling songwriters, and has co-written wonderful music with journeymen writers, lifting everyone with whom he works to a higher level of the craft. Several of his fellow writers came to answer the call to honor our friend who is battling pancreatic cancer at this time… Everyone was turned loose, to create a cover of one of Jimmy’s tunes, and encouraged to “make it their own"… The results have been astounding- personal, intimate, and unique, and all full of emotion. I sincerely thank the artists who contributed music to this collection.

It has been my honor to sew it all together for Jimmy, who simply deserves no less… He is indeed my brother, and my friend… I remain thankful for his encouragement, and good humor…
