Railroad Town by Muddy allein zuhaus

I wrote this song when I was in my early 20s and I guess the lyrics are very early 20s kind of lyrics. Somewhere between boredom and optimism. Mike and I, as Giftwood, played this very early on live, but somehow never got around to recording it. Other songs always seemed more important (or easier).

We intend to record this with Giftwood for our next album, but this is my solo/demo version to show the guys it can be played with a rhythm section. They heard it and we will probably record it without the rhythm section.

Den Song habe ich mit Anfang 20 geschrieben und der Text klingt wahrscheinlich auch sehr nach Anfang 20. Irgendwo zwischen Langeweile und Optimismus. Mike und ich haben ihn mit Giftwood ziemlich kurz nachdem ich ihn geschrieben hatte live gespielt, aber sind irgendwie nie dazu gekommen, ihn aufzunehmen. Wahrscheinlich waren andere Songs immer gerade wichtiger (oder einfacher).

Wir wollen Railroad Town für unser nächstes Giftwood-Album aufnehmen, aber diese Version ist meine solo- bzw. Demo-Version. Ich habe sie aufgenommen, weil ich den anderen zeigen wollte, dass man den Song mit Bass und Schlagzeug aufnehmen kann. Sie haben sich's angehört. Wir werden ihn sehr wahrscheinlich ohne Bass und Schlagzeug aufnehmen.
