Conform!! by MRDRCAT

I am very aware that I tend to follow a formula for how I write this stuff. Two chords. Same progression. Hectic percussion & sloppy arrangement. Here's the thing: I just want to write fun, catchy poppy stuff because it's fun. I know I'm bad at it. But hopefully you find something you like in here.

This album features 14 of my favourite tracks that conform to that formula (see what I did there?) in one way or another, all composed/produced entirely on the Dirtywave M8 during the 2024 Weekly Beats challenge. If I had anything resembling an audio portfolio, this would be it (though I do plan on releasing a darker-edged compilation later this year). Enjoy if you feel like it!

All the tracks here are fresh renders from the original project files, all lightly mastered using the dearly departed Final Touch on a wheezy iPad Air 1, and most of them have been tweaked or otherwise altered from the original Weekly Beats submissions, even if it was just to clean up the audio so they were more consistent on an album. I have no idea how to mix/master, so results may vary. The four bonus tracks have not been touched, though - they're right out of the M8. Good luck with all that.
