we’ll leave the cities far behind when we go
the day’ll arrive with promise in it’s hand
we’ll keep our destiny at bay while we sail
to other places, closer to the heart
southern breeze, blow desire into my heart
northern winds, breathe fire into my soul
that path lies across the waves
i wish i could follow
we still have to break the chains
the promise is hollow if fear remains
they left the fountain far behind and moved on
and walked beneath the shadows of the moon
the train snaked off into the dry barren dunes
moving slow, to the rythm of their song
southern breeze, blow desire into my heart
northern winds, breathe fire into my soul
Their path snaked across the dunes
I dreamed I could follow
while they sang their songs to the moon
my song seemed so hollow, so out of tune
beneath the shadow of the moon
pray their deeds would make us bolder
but we might find Elysium soon
if we could stand upon the shoulders
of Phoebus Apollo
the one-eyed yet has to appear
we’re all blind. confused,
we mill around content with lies
the window closed again too soon
we moved on
the final frontier faded from our eyes
Their path streaked across the skies
I wish I could follow
we cannot just close our eyes
