1 : one of three offspring produced in the same pregnancy
2 : a combination, set, or group of three; a group of three elementary particles with different charge states but otherwise similar properties; an even number of electrons that have a net magnetic moment
3 : a group of three musical notes or tones performed in the time of two of the same value
This professionally duplicated CDr re-issue compiles three limited edition, out of print early 3-inch releases into a singular triple micro-albums program. Originally released on the now defunct Hooker Vision imprint, each was composed and recorded between 2010 and 2012: "The Sound of Reality Dissolving", "Red Tide", and "The Cirque". Together they symbolize the crux of the emerging Motion Sickness of Time Travel signature sounds: lush effected vocals, computer-manipulated electronics, and an array of synthesizer washes and drones.
"Prolific drone-maker Rachel Evans has a knack for shaping subtle rhythms, slow crescendos, and the wordless phrasings of her own voice... What makes it so enchanting is the way Evans melts her tones together; her vocals and synth seem to spawn each other. The result is a single, pure vision that just might make you believe there’s order in the universe." - Pitchfork
