“The genesis of these recordings were what was intended to be incidental solo guitar pieces interspersed between the band tracks on the "Desert Ghosts" album. On paper a good idea, but quickly became obvious something that wasn’t going to work in the flow of the album. Anyhow, these recordings harken back to what I was attempting with the earliest "Forest Ghosts" recordings—improvised, pagan, free and freaky—but I was a little better at playing guitar in that style.”
