I started this project as an EP in late 2019 with the idea of putting out something a bit different from the usual I've been putting out over the recent years. Something that's more rooted in my childhood and upbringing coming from a very diverse culture. Channeling more rhythm's and melodies that come more organically and not forced with no real intention toward's a "Genre" so to speak but become this mashup of inspirations from a bunch of different genres into one.

I was suppose to release this in 2020 but after covid lockdowns I put in on the back burner and as time went on I would get discouraged with it and at some points even abandoned it with no intention of ever releasing.

3 1/2 Years later I was inspired to revisit and give some tweaks and updates to honor my late brother J. Mundaca's wishes that it be out and here we are. I'm super excited to share "SAFETY FIRST" with you all as it is a bit different from most of the stuff you heard from me before.

I Dedicate this Album to my bro Jacob Israel Mundaca whom did get a chance to listen to mostly all of these tracks and give me his blessing. He wrote verses for track #2 (B4 I FORGET) and #4 (LIVE) but unfortunately we never got a chance to record before he left earth. We Love You Jake and I'm gonna make sure they never forget you..

I hope this project brings Peace, Inspiration and Good Vibrations.
